Dear Class,
Welcome to this new blog, which we can use this semester in
our Charitable Organizations class. This is the first time I have tried to use
a blog for a law school class, so I hope it will be helpful to us all.
Especially since this class will meet only once a week, this blog can help us
in keeping in touch through the week and to follow up conveniently on
discussions begun in class.
Everyone enrolled in the class should have been set up with
access privileges to this blog. If you have any questions about access or
features of the blog, you can contact the secretaries on the 5th
floor, especially Alexandra at parttime5@law.byu.edu.
In addition to making comments, you can raise questions that
would be of general interest to everyone in the class, report interesting news
items you have noticed, or may start threads that will be useful to you in your
research or studies.

I am excited about this experiment. I hope you will be
patient and will teach me how this can work as I try to encourage and mentor
each of you.
